This lesson should guide you in installing a MTC File Viewer. We will also cover how you can use this in order to get more detail about your MTC file at a single glance.

Once you are there you can click the "Download"

Cleaning up your Thumbnail Cache
Thumbnails rely on caching a photo of the file and it is in a hidden file that is located in each folder. We need to tell Windows that we would like our thumbnails to re-index our folders. This process will ensure that the MTC Viewer will work properly.
Start Menu> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Cleaner
Once you select the Disk Clean up utility the program will start scanning your computer - This process may take a few minutes.
After the scan is complete...
So after the scan is complete make sure that the thumbnails has a checkmark and hit the OK button.
Choose Delete Files
Log off and Log back in
By logging off and logging back in this will reinitialize the Thumbnail Previewer- further ensuring that your cache is cleared. You can then open the folder that has your MTC files and and watch them magically appear.
Don't forget to change your view to Thumbnails in order to see the new icons appear.
Setting folder view options in Windows 7
This lesson will cover change default settings in a given folder/sub folders. You will first need to go to the main folder that you are wanting to change the view on.
Press and release the ALT button to bring up this menu
Once you have the tool bar menu displayed you will need to select customize this folder.
Select Customize Tab
We're going to select pictures because we want to see thumbnails of the files that have photos associated with them.
Choose the checkmark to apply this to subfolders
This will now apply this to every subfolder within your main folder so you wont have to do this to every folder.
