Create your own Digi Stamp in MTC
Probably one of the easiest things to do in MTC with our ScrappyDew.com files or files from other sites that give you piecings to place together is creating a digi stamp. Digistamps are basically a cartoon/ stamp like shapes where you can print on your computer and color it by hand rather than cutting out several pieces and putting it together.
For those that don't know what a digi stamp is please scroll all the way to the bottom to see the final result.
Select the object that you are trying to digistamp
Scrappydew.com gives you a completed piecing already on the MTC file when you open it. So you won't have to move anything around.
Change it's color
To do this simply hover your mouse over the selected object and right click go to Change Color then Select Color
This is your color picker and you will have to change it to pure white.
Make sure your object is still selected and press Copy Button
This places it on your clipboard so we can do a paste in Inkscape.
Open Inkscape and go to Edit > Paste in Place
We need to fill the shapes with the color white.
When you paste your MTC clipboard into inkscape only the vectors transfers over. So you need to fill it. With the shapes still selected you will select the color white.
Look at the bottom of inkscape you will find your color palette
Now we need to edit the stroke
Simply double click the stroke color and our stroke menu will appear.
Select the Stroke Style Tab
Edit the Width and Join/Cap
Width should be set to 1.1
Join use the middle selection
Cap use the middle selection
Time to Export
Go to File> Export Bitmap
Change Pixel's to 300DPI
1. Make sure Selection is highlighted
2. Make sure your DPI is set to 300
3. and you can click the browse button to choose your save location.
Press the Export Button
That's it you're done making your digi stamp.
